Get $100 by Opening a Chase Savings account

This deal is a email invitational offer. I don’t think you can avail by printing a coupon because each email has different coupon code associated with it. But you can try calling them and possibly get the coupon for it.

Some conditions apply like, the account has to be opened with $5000 initial deposit but you don’t have to keep that $5000 all year. You just need to maintain $300 to avoid fees. If you calculate $100 for $5000 for year, it comes out to 2% interest which is a good deal and you don’t even have to keep the money in the account all year. Also deposit doesn’t have to happen while opening the account. You can also do ACH but deposit has to be within 7 days after opening account and $100 will be deposited after 10 days of the initial deposit.

ING Electric Orange Checking Account – $50 Signup Bonus offer

I have posted many offers from ING in the past. It has been a while since they announced their last one. This time, they are bringing back their Checking account bonus offer. Now, they are offering a $50 bonus to sign for Electric orange Checking account and make 3 debit card purchases or person to person cheque payment within 45 days after signup. Your bonus $50 will deposited in your checking account.

Currently, ING Checking account offers .24% interest for balance below $50000 and 1.09% for above 50k and below 100k. It is not a great interest but reasonable to have it in the checking account when other bank don’t even offer an interest for checking account. They have other checking accounts like premium which has minimum balance requirement. With No minimum balance requirement, you are also earning interest and getting bonus to signup. I would say, it’s a good offer.

I been with ING Direct for almost 5 years and used their service. Never had issues with the website and never had to call customer service. I have suggested few things and they actually implemented them. If you have a savings account already, just sign for checking and do simple debit purchases. You will get easy $50. Who don’t want free money? I cannot do it since I already checking out.

Watts Premier Reverse Osmosis will be on sale at Costco for $149.99

It is a damn good price with saving of $40 from the costco’s original price. Currently selling for $189.99 at costco.com and $249 at watts.com store. This offer is from Mar 28 – April 25, 2011.

It is a 5 stage VOC filteration system capable of filter most of the contamination and bad things in the water. It uses 3 filter and a membrane. Filters cost around $15 for 6 months and membrane which is $75 needs to change only every 2-5 years or so depending on the water quality. Installation is reasonbly easy and doesn’t take a long time if you are do-it-yourselfer.

I been using this same Watts WP-4v RO system for well over 4 years. It has always given good tasty and healthy water and saved me a lot of money and time as well. Actually I am upgrading my old system to new one by taking advantage of this offer because I need to change my membrane anyways which is around $75. So if I buy this system for $150, I get new membrane and new filters and new system for another $75 extra which can run for another 4 years or more.

Let me do some math to help you out. If you are family of 2 and uses 10 gallons of drinking water by buying 5 gallon Ozaka water pack in Costco for $4.50. You will be spending approximately $9 per week which will come out to $468/year. If you buy this system, $149+tax as one time investment and $35 for filter per year which is an on going expense of only $35, saving $400 or so. Only disadvantage on any RO filteration system is it takes 3 gallons of water to make 1 gallon of good water. So you might pay extra for the water every month. Even if you pay $10 extra on your monthly water bill and spend $75 after 2 years for membrane, you will still save a lot and more in the long run.

I strongly recommend to take advantage of this offer starting next week if you are looking for a filteration system which is less expensive and does the job right giving you good water for drinking as well cooking.
